Martchmaker.com is one of our personal favorites. The site was early on the online dating scene and was already early in the curve in providing terriffic user tools to make it easy to community with people – it really added to the feeling of a community. Matchmaker’s was bought out by Lycos a few years ago but they have continued their legacy of providing one of the very best online communities. The site has since branched out and now offers several specialty “channels” for people with specific interests such as christians, African Americans, and Asians – who are looking to meet others who also fit into those categories.
